Axea Bag – Wearable Sculpture

The Axea Bag is not simply a bag, but a wearable sculpture—defined by geometric form and inspired by the Cubist movement that is deeply rooted in Czech artistic heritage.

Created by Fernando Echeverria, Axea embodies his signature pleated leather technique, developed as a distinctive language of form and structure. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted using premium Tuscan vegetable-tanned leather, finished with natural oil treatments that enhance depth, texture, and longevity.

The design features a secure metallic clasp closure and an elegant rounded leather handle, hand-stitched in a Hermès-inspired saddle stitch technique for exceptional durability and refinement.

Originally presented as a limited edition for Designblok 2023 at the National Gallery of Prague, Axea is now available as a made-to-order piece, crafted individually in Prague.
