Ceres bag

The Ceres Bag is a sculptural exploration of form inspired by the celestial landscape of asteroids and the quiet mystery of the universe.

Handcrafted in Prague from rigid 2 mm Italian leather, its distinctive silhouette is shaped using traditional shoemaking techniques on a wooden last and meticulously stitched by hand to preserve its architectural character. The result is a piece that balances precision, craftsmanship, and imagination.

The leather is naturally tanned and finished with a rich wax patina that enhances its depth while creating a luminous, mirror-like sheen. Its compact form is secured with concealed magnetic closures, preserving the purity of the design.

A rounded leather strap, detailed with decorative hand-stitching, echoes the bag’s organic geometry and reinforces its sculptural presence.

Presented at Designblok 2023 in the National Gallery Prague, Ceres reflects the intersection of contemporary design, traditional craftsmanship, and wearable art.
